Once access has been granted, log in with your NetID.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-decorator wsu-decorator--style-block-gray wsu-position--relative wsu-spacing-after--xxmedium\" style=\"height:1px;width:100%\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-size: 3rem; font-weight: 700;\">2.<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 2rem; font-weight: 400;\">Guidelines<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once logged in, review the <a href=\"https:\/\/events.wsu.edu\/wp-admin\/index.php\">Events Q&amp;A<\/a> for submission guidelines. The Q&amp;As can be found under &#8220;Dashboard&#8221; in the menu\/navigation.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-decorator wsu-decorator--style-block-gray wsu-position--relative wsu-spacing-after--xxmedium\" style=\"height:1px;width:100%\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-size: 3rem; font-weight: 700;\">3.<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 2rem; font-weight: 400;\">Event Name<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do not see the &#8220;Add New Event&#8221; form on your screen, select &#8220;Events &gt; Add New&#8221; from the menu\/navigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter the name of your event in the &#8220;Name this event&#8221; field at the top of the page. If you did <strong>not<\/strong> select &#8220;All-day event,&#8221; you must also choose a start time and an end time.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-decorator wsu-decorator--style-block-gray wsu-position--relative wsu-spacing-after--xxmedium\" style=\"height:1px;width:100%\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-size: 3rem; font-weight: 700;\">5.<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 2rem; font-weight: 400;\">Location<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the event location from the &#8220;Venue&#8221; drop menu. Completing this section will also help visitors find your event on the WSU Events Calendar. The &#8220;Taxonomies&#8221; section can be found in the right-hand column of the submission form page on larger screens, or near the bottom of the page on smaller\/mobile device screens.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"52\" height=\"53\" src=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-vcea\/uploads\/sites\/948\/2018\/06\/exclamation-e1529616458467.png\" alt=\"exclamation mark.\" class=\"wp-image-301\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-spacing-after--xxmedium wsu-spacing-top--xxsmall\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> This is a critical step. If you do not complete the &#8220;Taxonomies&#8221; fields, <strong>your event will not display on Voiland College calendars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Types<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the field and choose the event type that best matches your event from the drop menu, e.g., Careers\/Jobs, Lecture, Workshop\/Seminar, etc. You can select more than one type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">University Categories<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the field and choose the category or categories related to your event. This field can be left empty if no categories are relevant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">University Location<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the field and choose the University location where your event is being held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">University Organization<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the field and do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Choose &#8220;Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture&#8221; in order for your event to appear on the Voiland College event calendar. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>If applicable,<\/strong> also choose one or more school(s)\/department(s) within Voiland College that should display the event on their calendar, e.g.:\n<ol>\n<li>School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Civil and Environmental Engineering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School of Design and Construction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engineering and Computer Science (Tri-Cities)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School of Engineering and Computer Science (Vancouver)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>If applicable,<\/strong> also choose any additional organization(s) involved with the event.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-decorator wsu-decorator--style-block-gray wsu-position--relative wsu-spacing-after--xxmedium\" style=\"height:1px;width:100%\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-size: 3rem; font-weight: 700;\">11.<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 2rem; font-weight: 400;\">Excerpt<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;Excerpt&#8221; section must be completed with a 1-2 sentence summary of your event. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"52\" height=\"52\" src=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-vcea\/uploads\/sites\/948\/2018\/06\/hand.png\" alt=\"hand signaling stop.\" class=\"wp-image-300\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-spacing-top--xxsmall\"><strong>Caution:<\/strong> Do not repeat the event title in the excerpt field.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-decorator wsu-decorator--style-block-gray wsu-position--relative wsu-spacing-after--xxmedium\" style=\"height:1px;width:100%\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-size: 3rem; font-weight: 700;\">12.<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 2rem; font-weight: 400;\">Publish<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preview<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>When you have finished entering details about your event, select the &#8220;Preview&#8221; button. The button can be found near the upper right corner of the page on larger screens, or near the bottom of the page on smaller mobile device screens. This will open a new browser window\/tab displaying your event as viewers will see it. Be sure to check that all information is correct and links are working.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"52\" height=\"52\" src=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-vcea\/uploads\/sites\/948\/2018\/06\/lightbulb.png\" alt=\"idea lightbulb.\" class=\"wp-image-298\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-spacing-top--xxsmall\"><strong>Tip:<\/strong> If you need to stop working on your event and complete it later, select the \u201cSave Draft\u201d button located next to the &#8220;Preview&#8221; button. You can find your saved event later by <a href=\"#step1\">logging in<\/a> and selecting &#8220;Events&#8221; from the menu\/navigation. You will be presented with a list of your events; select the name of your saved event to continue editing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submit<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are satisfied with the preview of your event, return to the original editing window and select the &#8220;Submit for Review&#8221; button located just below the &#8220;Preview&#8221; button. Your event will be reviewed by the WSU calendar administrator; this may take a few days. Once approved, your event will appear on the WSU Events Calendar and, <em><strong>if the &#8220;<a href=\"#step10\">Taxonomies<\/a>&#8221; section was completed correctly<\/strong><\/em>, Voiland College and\/or related school\/department calendars.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"52\" height=\"52\" src=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-vcea\/uploads\/sites\/948\/2018\/06\/hand.png\" alt=\"hand signaling stop.\" class=\"wp-image-300\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-spacing-top--xxsmall\"><strong>Caution:<\/strong> Your event cannot be edited once it has been both submitted for review and approved by the WSU calendar administrator.
