“Bridging the Western and Chinese Philosophies for Enterprise Success” seminar

The Gene and Linda Voiland School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering is hosting the seminar “Bridging the Western and Chinese Philosophies for Enterprise Success” presented by Ma Yunsheng, Chairman of the board of Shangdong Chambroad Holding Co., Ltd, China.

Ma Yunsheng, was a deputy to the 10th and 11th People’s Congress of Shandong Province, and is a member of the standing committee of Binzhou Municipal People’s Congress, an executive director of China Enterprise Confederation, an executive director of China Chamber of Commerce for Petroleum Industry, a member of China Confucius Foundation, vice president of Shandong Enterprise Federation, president of Shandong Provincial Logistics and Transport Association, director of Shandong Chemical Information Center, president of Binzhou Chemical Industry Association, honorary president of Boxing Charity Federation, honorary headmaster of Special Education School, chairman of the board of Shandong Chambroad Holding Co., Ltd. And he is awarded with the special government allowances of the State Council of China.

Since 2000, he has received numerous awards including “Outstanding Leader of National Chemical System Safety and Health work”, “Shandong Labor Medal in Terms of Enriching People and Invigorating Shandong”, “Shandong Progress Prize of Science and Technology”, “National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Outstanding Private Entrepreneurs”, “National May 1st Labor Medal”, “Shandong Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contribution”, “Shandong Model Workers”, “Shandong Charity Award”, “Most Generous and Loving Charity Donator”, “Shandong Outstanding Engineers”, “China Excellent National Entrepreneurs”, “Ten Meritorious Entrepreneurs of the First Harmonious Shandong”, “2013 National Outstanding Entrepreneurs Actively Performing Social Responsibility of Environmental Protection”, “2013 China Top 10 Entrepreneur Figures”, “China Charity Outstanding Contribution (Individual) Award”, “Shandong Outstanding Builder”.

Under his leadership, Chambroad Holding continually wins national recognitions such as: “ National Contract-abiding and Trustworthy Enterprise”, “National Advanced Unit of Corporate Culture Construction”, “China Top 500 Enterprises”, “Chinese Top 500 Petroleum and Chemical Enterprises”, “Chinese Top 500 Private anufacturing Enterprises”, “Chinese Top 100 Growth Enterprises”.

The development and expansion of Chambroad embeds a great deal of attention and wisdom of Ma Yunsheng. He has integrated his life into the enterprise development. In all these years, Ma Yunsheng commits to building a team with a strong sense of social responsibility, caring for employees with love, kindness and actions. Setting himself as an example, he guides his staff to cherish everything, repaying their parents and society. Holding this in mind, in the face of the global financial crisis in 2009, he made a company policy of “no layoffs, no pay cuts, no production shutdown” and got the staff and company safely and smoothly through the financial crisis in the shortest time.

Ma Yunsheng and his team, regarding “to manufacture satisfying products for customers and cultivate useful talents for society” as their mission, work to build Chambroad as the most responsible and beneficial enterprise to the society in the same industry, leaving future generations a platform with sustained profitability. Ma Yunsheng has created an excellent Chambroad culture, built a first-class executive team. His selflessness, dedication, and persistence establish a good social image for the company, and contribute to the local economic development and charitable causes.
