Announcement: VCEA Director of Facilities and Space Management

Dear Colleagues,

I’m very pleased to announce that Darlene Neunherz (pronounced noin herz) has joined the VCEA as Director of Facilities & Space Management as of May 26th 2015. She will be working on behalf of the college, reporting to me.

She comes to us with over eleven years of experience in facilities, and was previously the Director of Facilities & Space Management for the WSU Carson College of Business.

Darlene will assist the Voiland College with investing in infrastructure strategically, aligning our facilities with our strategic plan and initiatives, maximizing our facility assets to increase operational efficiency, promote facilities for research, and leverage our assets and facility resources to our advantage. As part of these responsibilities she will be taking over the space management responsibilities from Chris Gass and Dave Field, and assist units with facilities work orders and projects.

Her first priorities will be to assist in finding spaces for our new faculty and pave the way for occupying the PACCAR Clean Technology Laboratory Building. She will be reaching out to meet with those involved on both counts imminently. She will also start the process of discovery regarding each unit’s short and long term needs. Your help and support on all counts would be greatly appreciated.

Darlene’s office is located in EME 221 and her contact information is 509-335-3783, drussell@wsu.edu. She welcomes you to stop by or reach out.

Please help me in welcoming Darlene to the Voiland College! She certainly joins us at a pivotal time, and her efforts will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
