From the Dean
This note should really be a postcard – I am on the road!
Today I am in Bremerton, touring Voiland College’s newest engineering building at Olympic College. Last week I had the pleasure to visit our WSU Tri-Cities campus, and next week I will be going to WSU Everett (Oct. 25). I will be visiting WSU Vancouver Dec. 5.
I want to thank all the faculty, students and staff for taking time out of their busy schedules to meet with me during these visits. I’m learning so much about the unique programs each campus provides!
With scores of degree offerings and five campus locations, Voiland College is truly an amazing college, and I am honored to serve as your dean. Look for a report from my visits in the coming weeks.
Go Cougs!

Safety Tip of the Week
Fall Hiking
Backcountry exploration in late fall can present dangers that exceed those of hiking in the summertime.
Here are some tips for safer backcountry exploration in late fall: check the weather, choose your destinations wisely, tell others where you will be hiking, and pack the ten essentials.
