Safety Tip of the Week
Give Me a Break
Many work-related injuries and illnesses occur when an employee is tired or groggy.
According to Washington state law, workers must be given a ten-minute break per every 4 hours worked or mini breaks totaling ten minutes. One fifteen-second break from looking at the computer every ten minutes has been shown to decrease fatigue by 50 percent.
