Herman and Brita Lindholm Endowed Chair Susmita Bose has been named a fellow of the Materials Research Society.

The Daily Evergreen featured a story on efforts by the Modeling, Motion and Medical Robotics Laboratory, led by associate professor John Swensen, to develop steerable needles that use waterjets to reduce tissue damage and lower the risk of infection in medical procedures.

WSU Insider featured a story on WSU Tri-Cities computer science students Logan Wickham, Andrew Tolman and Matthew Harris, who are developing cyber security infrastructure for their senior design project.

Two teams at WSU Tri-Cities have partnered with Washington River Protection Solutions to procure and program an autonomous vehicle and develop a form of ultra-high-performance concrete to help protect workers in radioactive areas at the Hanford Site and safely immobilize solid secondary wastes.

Computer Science major Kaveh Khorram’s hackathon experience is the focus of this week’s Voiland College feature story.
