Kelvin Lynn received a $200,000 award from the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office to advance solar research and development.
Kathryn Jackson has been accepted to speak at the National Academic Advising Association’s regional conference in Calgary, Canada, where she will present, “Creating Opportunity: Developing a Study Abroad Program Where None Existed.”
Cara Morton and Somayeh Nassiri helped organize the subregional Inland Northwest Future City Competition for middle school students last weekend.

Eyes on Safety
Everyone who enters a Voiland College laboratory (defined as a space that contains chemicals other than water or atmospheric air, either liquid or gaseous; has rotating or crushing equipment; has any gases stored under pressure, or other identified hazards.) must at all times wear personal protective eyewear approved by the latest edition of the ANSI Z87.1 safety standard.
For assistance meeting this and other lab safety standards, contact your supervisor or a Voiland College Safety Committee member.
