The WSU Institute of Transportation Engineers Club received an award from the ITE Western District Data Collection Fund to collect trip data at Pullman’s Stadium Way Starbucks.

A WSU team has developed a more efficient, safer, and cost-effective way to produce cadmium telluride (CdTe) material for solar cells or other applications.

VCEA Strategic Planning Survey – Please Take by Jan. 31

Faculty and staff are encouraged to take the VCEA Strategic Planning Survey to give your perspectives on where Voiland College should be going over the course of the next five years, and ideas on how we can get there.

VCEA 3-Minute Thesis Competition – Nominations Due Feb. 28

Open to all doctoral candidates in good standing who have completed preliminary exams by March 6th, 2020, 3MT is challenging Ph.D. students to consolidate their ideas and research discoveries and to present their thesis and its significance in three minutes to a non-technical audience. Nominations due from departments Friday February 28th.

The VCEA Competition: Thursday, March 6th at 2pm in ETRL 101 – 1st Place: $1500 scholarship and chance to compete at the WSU competition.

WSU students can apply for awards to support their mentored research, scholarship, and creative activities in academic year 2020-21.

WSU Student Employee of the Year – Nominations due Feb. 15

This institution-wide contest looks at student employees who go above-and-beyond the basic expectations. Nominations are due Feb. 15.

VCEA Staff Excellence Awards – Nominations due March 6

It is time to submit nominations for the VCEA Staff Excellence Awards! VCEA staff and faculty received their nominations forms this week from Chris Gass. Please scan the form electronically and email it back to chrisgass@wsu.edu by March 6.

The Cougar Health Services Peer Health Educators offer “Behind Happy Faces” free of charge to student groups and campus affiliates here in Pullman. This one-hour training engages participants in their emotional development and the steps they can take to approach a friend who is struggling with a mental health issue.
