The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture are pleased to announce a new dual degree and certificate program for students pursuing their Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Sasha McLarty has received a three-year, $673,000 grant from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation that will help monitor groundwater in the Columbia River Basin.

Lloyd Smith’s research into the surge in Major League Baseball home runs was featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Computing engineering graduate student Biresh Kumar Joardar has received a Computing Innovation Fellowship from the Computing Research Association and the Computing Community Consortium.

Recent bioengineering graduates Katie Lober, Jackson Rieb, and Sarah Schroeder won the Life Sciences Innovation NW $5,000 SEBA Fast Pitch Award.

Center Spotlight

Sports Science Laboratory

The Sports Science Laboratory specializes in the dynamics of bat and ball collisions. The results of this work help regulating agencies better understand equipment performance through experimental testing and numeric models. The lab is certified with the NCAA, USA Softball, and USA Baseball and contracts with bat and ball manufacturers to verify compliance and evaluate prototype products.
