Dear Colleagues,
Following nine years of outstanding leadership as Voiland College’s Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, Dave Field has accepted a new role within our college as the Director of the Institute of Materials Research. In his new role, Dave will coordinate research efforts for Washington State University with the goal of leveraging our strengths in this emerging and vitally important field.
I would like to thank Dave for many years of exemplary service and his willingness to take an active leadership role in this critical effort.
Dave’s transfer leaves the associate dean position vacant, and we are currently seeking an individual within our college to fill that role who has interests in advancing Voiland’s research activity as well as growing their own leadership skills. Review of applications will begin on July 8, and we aim to hire a new associate dean within the next few months.
