Transitions in the Dean’s Office

Dear Colleagues,

After more than 22 years of service to Voiland College and to Washington State University, Devon Anderson will be retiring in December.

As the college’s senior director of development and for a time as WSU’s director of corporate foundation relations, Devon led the Voiland development team in raising hundreds of millions of dollars in support of our students and faculty. In the past two years alone, she worked tirelessly on our building success campaign, our focused effort to support the next generation of engineering and design students. Devon’s impact will also be felt by generations of future students and faculty members when they receive scholarship support or endowed professorships.

We are so thankful for her years of devoted service and will greatly miss her. We wish her well as she moves on to retirement and to spending more time with her grandchildren.

Fortunately, the college is well-positioned to continue to grow and succeed in the future.

I have asked Bridget Pilcher to step into the senior director of development position and she has accepted. She will formally take on that role later this year. Bridget joined our college 22 years ago and has dedicated her career to our college. She has played a pivotal role in partnering with me to lead our facilities fundraising efforts and is a seasoned development professional.

Please join me in congratulating Devon on her pending retirement and Bridget on her new role.
