Anticipating Ramping Up Research in VCEA Labs

As many of you know, we are drafting documents that will guide us as we ramp up research in the laboratories again. We have been requested to not share these documents generally since they are in draft form and they could change significantly before being released. We’ll get these out soon, but please be patient while we work through all the drafts.

If you’re like me, you’re probably finding this new remote workplace we are in to be both exciting and challenging at the same time. I know it has been difficult and stressful for many of you to adapt to this environment of social-distancing while balancing the demands of work with the needs of your families.

VCEA IT Tech Tips, Tricks and Tweaks

Are any of you like me and finding yourself more exhausted at the end of the day / week when working or learning remotely versus being in your office or in the classroom? Well, I don’t know that I can solve that in one email, but Todd Vanek and I wanted to offer a few tips and tweaks to try to make it a little easier for you.

VCEA and Pullman Campus Building Lock Down Changes

Voiland College would like to let you know starting Saturday April 4th the university will temporarily adjust its procedures for unlocking buildings on the Pullman campus. While the university remains open for business, only those buildings that are deemed essential to walk-in traffic will remain unlocked during regular building hours.

Congratulations on a successful first week in this bold new Zoom world!

In the space of a little over 10 days, we transitioned 453 sections of teaching courses to an online format. More than 300 staff, faculty, and teaching assistants took part in our Zoom training program over Spring Break to prepare, all the while moving themselves from their offices and classrooms to remote teaching locations.
