The School of Design and Construction and the University of Washington’s College of Built Environments are working together with Site Workshop, Gustafson Guthrie Nichol, and Berger Partnership to create an endowed scholarship in their respective landscape architecture programs to support students who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).

Venera Arnaoudova, Stephen Austin, Julia Day, Subhanshu Gupta, Qizhen Li, Jacob Murray, Min-Kyu Song, Anurag Srivastava, John Swensen, Hua Tan, Dave Torick, Carrie Vielle, and Xuechen Zhang were among the 36 WSU faculty members who were granted tenure this year across the WSU system, or received promotions, according to the Office of the Provost.

Mgmt.) who recently penned a children’s book about civil engineering, and his chosen profession, and Wayne Chang (’10 Civ. Eng.), who has a passion for international disaster relief and humanitarian work.
Assefaw Gebremedhin was awarded the 2021 George Pólya Prize in Applied Combinatorics.
Amit Bandyopadhyay received this year’s Distinguished Faculty Award in recognition of his achievements in research, scholarship and teaching. Bandyopadhyay will deliver this year’s Distinguished Faculty Address on March 22.
