Led by Amit Bandyopadhyay, researchers have provided a roadmap for industry and academics to use 3D printing in a new paper published in the journal, Materials Today.

Good Fruit Grower Magazine featured an article on WSU’s $20 million AgAID Institute, led by Ananth Kalyanaraman.

At WSU’s Composite Materials Engineering Center, Vikram Yadama and a team of doctoral students turn agricultural waste products, such as shells, fibers, and stubble, into resin-strengthened architectural and decorative panels.

Updated Spring Semester and COVID-19 Information

As you know, Washington State University is continuing to pursue in-person learning this semester, albeit with a slightly delayed start in WSU Pullman because of weather issues. Following the WSU Town Hall on Thursday (Jan 6, 2022), the WSU Provost shared some key points for us to convey to you which we are sharing. We’ve added some examples to help define what these key points might mean to us in our College.

A group of large wood structures suspended above the lobby of Spokane’s new sport complex building are the work of Taiji Miyasaka and Seattle artist and engineer Clayton Binkley.

WSU researchers recently collaborated with the University of Science and Technology of China to unravel an underlying mechanism of a catalytic reaction at the atomic level.

The Spokesman Review featured a story on Team Zephyr – made up of WSU grads Sarah Schroeder, Jackson Rieb and Katie Lober, which is developing a mattress designed for people suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or similar physical disorders.

A research team led by Tim Ginn received a collaborative National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to improve understanding of how contaminants, nutrients and naturally occurring minerals interact with the environment as they move downstream in a river.

A team of researchers including Bernard Van Wie discovered that gallic acid and stretching decrease osteoarthritis markers in cartilage cells.

The first University Transportation Center TriDurLE Symposium took place virtually Dec. 6-7.

Season’s Greetings 2021

Season’s Greetings! As our fall semester wraps up, I want to wish everyone ‘Happy Holidays,’ and hope each of you can experience all the comfort and joy our winter break provides.

And what a semester this fall has been. Since returning to campus, we all seem to have been running ‘Full Speed Ahead’ as if to make up for the lost time of 2020.
