Like the North Star, this individual is a consistent and trusted point of reference who supports and empowers their team through integrity, collaboration, and effective communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Award\/Honor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One VCEA staff will receive a certificate and an honorarium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nomination Guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The objective is to select one staff member who consistently demonstrates attributes of a strong leader.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This award is open to all VCEA Civil Service and\/or AP staff, irrespective of campus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The nominee must hold a supervisory role.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Requirements for the nomination package are:<ul><li>One nomination letter (no more than one page in length).<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Up to three letters of recommendation are welcome, but not mandatory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selection Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Exemplifies strong leadership in their respective supervisory role through integrity, collaboration, and effective communication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has made a measurable impact on team performance, morale, and the achievement of organizational goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fosters a thoughtful, inclusive, and collaborative work environment to empower their team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All nominations should be submitted in Qualtrics\u00a0<strong>on or before Friday, March 13, 2026, by <strong>5:00<\/strong> pm (PST)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-cta \" >\n\t<a \t\t\t\t\thref=\"https:\/\/wsu.co1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_cHXL8B4dV9FdAWO\"\t\n\t\tclass=\"wsu-button \">\n\t\t\t\n\t\tSubmit Nomination\t\t\t<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Previous Award Recipients<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-row wsu-row--sidebar-right\" >\r\n    \n<div class=\"wsu-column\"  style=\"\">\r\n\t\n\n<p>The North Star Award is new.
