Summary.<\/a><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\r\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Goal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To support the Voiland College\u2019s employees, students, and partners with modern, state-of-the-art facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Align resources with strategic infrastructure priorities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase funding resources for infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage in integrated teaching, research, fundraising, and facilities fundraising planning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Intended Outcomes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Voiland College\u2019s infrastructure priorities will be successfully funded from the state of Washington, philanthropic support, federal agencies, and other funding mechanisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voiland College will be positioned to identify and develop needed facilities based on evidence-based practices in pedagogy and scholarship, forecasts of future academic, industry and demographic shifts, and changes in technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voiland College\u2019s physical infrastructure will provide a superior environment for effective and efficient teaching, learning, and engagement, and serves as a space that welcomes all the members of our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategic Planning Initiatives<\/h2>\n\n\n<div will be adaptable to academic, research, and industry shifts while remaining environmentally and financially sustainable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Energy Efficiency and Sustainability:<\/strong>&nbsp;VCEA will implement best practices in design and operations to reduce energy consumption and create eco-friendly facilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community-Centered Design:<\/strong>&nbsp;VCEA will develop facilities that foster community, enhance occupant capability,improve occupant health and safety, and are efficiently designed for multi-use and future repurposing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Modernized Program Sizes:<\/strong>&nbsp;VCEA will define program sizes by identifying key academic and research focus areas, analyzing shared infrastructure needs, and designing multi-use spaces for labs, classrooms, and services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Showcase Opportunities:<\/strong>&nbsp;VCEA will highlight key focus areas and achievements to Management Engagement:<\/strong>&nbsp;VCEA will establish processes that allow the VCEA community to participate in modernization plans, keeping them informed and excited about upcoming changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Promote Efficient Use of Facilities:<\/strong>&nbsp;VCEA will foster a culture of shared space utilization by creating incentives for efficient and collaborative use of resources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Capital Planning Collaboration:<\/strong>\u00a0VCEA will work closely with WSU leadership to ensure that our facility modernization is aligned with the broader university capital planning strategy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supported by our generous donors and industry partners VCEA is launching a pre-design for Dana Hall programming and a refresh of the VCEA
