Two WSU student teams recently took top places at the Associated Schools of Construction Regions 6 & 7 competition<\/a> in Sparks, Nevada:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WSU\u2019s Virtual Design & Construction Team, consisting of Matt Hill, Kenny Reeck, Max King, Riley O\u2019Keeffe, Dylan Sterling, Chase Bos and coach Anne Anderson<\/strong> took first place<\/a> in their category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WSU\u2019s Commercial Team, consisting of Brady Swanson, Tanner Olson, Ryan Quick, Jenny Schneider, Rebecca Nelson, Samuel Stargell, and coach Jason Peschel<\/strong> placed second in their category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PNNL-WSU Distinguished Graduate Research Program Applications Are Open<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

DGRP students will work with faculty at WSU and scientists at PNNL while completing their graduate coursework and subsequently transfer to PNNL for the remaining years of their PhD program to gain hands-on research experience with PNNL scientists. There will be opportunities in the following research areas: Radiochemistry, Electric power and Smart Grid, Biofuels, bio-products, and catalysis, Environmental, water and soil science and engineering and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
