Prashanta Dutta<\/strong> received the 2024 Donald N. Zwiep Innovation in Education Award<\/a> for his work in designing, developing, and disseminating desktop learning modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wei Du<\/strong> has been appointed interim co-director of the Washington State University and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Advanced Grid Institute.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Researchers led by Alana Pulay<\/strong> received a grant through the American Society of Interior Designers that will enable them to study how different types of LED lighting in classrooms affect children with autism spectrum disorder.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicholas Kraabel, Nicholas Mayer, Jesus Jimenez, Harish Varatharaj, Dylan Suina, Suzanne Gelston, Carolina Perez, Connor Reschke,<\/strong> and Zakora Moore<\/strong> received Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (SURCA) Awards.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington State University will name the welcome center at Schweitzer Engineering Hall<\/strong> the Diane Coughlin Welcome Center.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Led by Noel Schulz<\/strong>, Washington State University\u2019s new Institute for Northwest Energy Futures <\/a>is partnering with the WSU Extension Energy Program to innovate solutions for a tricky Northwest problem: How to better supply affordable, sustainable energy to the people and enterprises of Washington state?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first cohort from the Energy Conscious Construction (ECC) certificate program<\/a> will graduate this May, hoping to use their training to design and build the more efficient and less carbon-polluting homes needed for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
