With roughly 3500 square feet of makerspace, the fabrication labs offer digital fabrication services by trained lab technicians, industrial-grade analog machines, model-scale analog machines, hand-tool check out, and many more services. Users must first complete a safety orientation (SDC 300), with additional training to use tools and machines. This innovative space offers students many resources that help bring their ideas to life. These resources include fabrication tools, testing and measuring equipment, storage areas, meeting spaces, and supervised &#8216;maker-space&#8217; with supportive technology. The FIZ also includes a service center where students can purchase a variety of different hardware using COUGAR CASH.
