Ben has been working for the Internships and Career Services office since January 2020. He is currently a Junior at WSU and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He has made Honor roll every semester since coming to WSU and spends a good amount of his time in the tutoring center enjoying the free coffee!

Last Summer, Ben was able to secure an internship at Southeast University in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, where he researched quantum photo dots. Focusing specifically on creating a baseplate for photodetectors, Ben and his graduate research partner, Yan, were able to create foundation layers with less than 5% impurities. This Summer, Ben is looking forward to fulfilling an internship at Janicki Industries in Sedro-Woolley, WA.

Ben is a proud member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity here at Washington State, and served as the president of his fraternity in 2019. Ben is currently the executive vice president of the Interfraternity Council and works hard to tackle issues surrounding mental health, sexual assault, and substance abuse within the Greek Community.

When he’s not in class or in the IFC office, Ben loves to spend his time working out at the Rec, hiking, bowling at Zeppoz, exploring shops in Moscow and Pullman, and cheering on the Cougs at athletic events! If you see him around campus, make sure you say “hi!”

If you need help with resume and cover letter writing, interview tips, or help finding internships or jobs, you can check Ben’s availability online and schedule a meeting through his Calendly!
