Each year, Alaska Airlines provides a pool of flight credits to support student and faculty travel. Once again, the Office of Corporate Engagement is making these credits available to your campuses and colleges under the following guidelines:

  • Flight credits will be prioritized for undergraduate students traveling for experiential learning opportunities (e.g., club/team competitions, industry interaction, conferences, etc.).
  • Additional credits may be awarded to graduate students and faculty traveling to attend conferences, to fly in speakers, etc., as available.
  • Colleges/campuses/individuals will recognize Alaska Airlines for providing the flights through social media channels or presentation materials when posting about their travels/experiences.
  • Travel should not already be booked as the award is for future travel. The Office of Corporate Engagement has no ability to issue monetary refunds or credit for previously booked flights.
  • Travel must be booked and take place by August 31, 2022.

If you anticipate opportunities for important student travel this Fall (e.g. club competitions, etc.), but do not yet know the details (e.g., the exact number and names of individual travelers, etc.), please submit an application as a placeholder.

The application is now open and the deadline to apply will be Monday, January 31, 2022. The Office of Corporate Engagement will begin notifying applicants on February 7th. Any remaining credits will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until this semester’s allotment is depleted with preference given to students. Please note that all flights must be through Alaska Airlines or Horizon Air. Any submissions with American Airlines or other airlines will be automatically disqualified, as ineligible. We anticipate offering additional flight credits for Fall 2022 travel through a similar process at the beginning of the fall semester.
