What made you decide to attend WSU?
I really like the vibrant student culture. I chose my major because I want to be involved with the built environment and the managerial aspects of construction.
What has been your favorite class or program that you’ve been involved with at WSU, and why?
My favorite class at WSU was Surveying (CE 302) with Professor Karl Olsen. I love being outside and using things we learn in class in a very tangible way.
What clubs are you involved in on campus?
I am the President of Wazzu Racing, the Formula SAE team here at WSU. We have around 80 active members. Wazzu Racing allowed me to get the internship that I had during Summer 2025. It taught me how to engage with sponsors, cold calling, and team management.

Have you participated in any internships related to your field of study?
I interned with Michels Construction Inc. for Summer 2025. I worked on a $320,000,000 project on I-90 E as a specialty contractor for Scarsella Brothers Inc. I assisted with concrete pours, quality control, and solely managed tieback testing.
Why would you recommend attending Washington State University?
WSU has a very tight knit group of students that consistently help each other out whenever it’s needed. I am always impressed by the continuous support our alumni offer us, specifically to Wazzu Racing.
What advice do you have for fellow or prospective students?
Get involved with your classmates. They will be much more helpful than you imagine.
