VCEA Technical Career Fair

October 5-7, 2020
8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Virtual via Handshake.

Employers attending the VCEA Technical Career Fair & SWE Evening with Industry Event

Held in conjunction with the WSU Fall Career Expo, the VCEA Technical Career Fair connects companies and professional recruiters with students and job seekers to help them achieve their career goals. This semester, the event will be held in a virtual format on Handshake.

Handshake’s Virtual Expo will allow students to schedule one-on-one time with employers, or group sessions where employers will share information about their company or open positions. You will be able to schedule your 1:1 meetings with employers ahead of time, and will not have to wait in line during the actual fair. Video, chat and audio conversations will all be available on Handshake Video, as long as your Privacy settings in Handshake are set to “Community.”

Register for the fair:

It is critical that you get your Handshake profile set up (at 100%) and make your profile visible to employers, students and alumni. This can be done by going to “settings” and selecting “Community” in the Privacy box. If your profile is not set up as visible to the “Community,” you will not be able to access the 1:1 employer meetings and group sessions at the time of the career fair.

From freshman to senior and beyond, there are opportunities for all students. Many participating companies are looking for interns, co-op students, and employees, so there really is something for everyone.

Participation in the VCEA Technical Career Fair affords you the opportunities to:

  • Increase your visibility to potential employers.
  • Identify temporary and permanent positions within interesting organizations.
  • Make informed decisions and educational choices to help prepare for employment.
