    Tailor your resume to highlight relevant skills and accomplishments, and create a portfolio showcasing your best project accomplishments.
  3. Gain Relevant Experience
    Secure at least one internship, co-op, or part-time job in your field of interest to gain hands-on experience and build your professional network.
  4. Expand Your Professional Network
    Attend the WSU Spring Career Expo, VCEA Career Networking Night, and other industry events to connect with professionals and potential mentors in your field.
  5. Master the Art of Interviewing
    Practice common interview questions, refine your elevator pitch, and participate in mock interviews with a Voiland College Career Coach to build confidence and improve communication skills.
  6. Develop In-Demand Skills
    Identify and learn key technical and soft skills relevant to your industry, such as coding, data analysis, teamwork, or project management. Keep a record of how you use these skills and add the accomplishments to your resume.
  7. Enhance Your Online Presence
    Optimize your LinkedIn profile, clean up your social media, and consider creating a personal website or blog to showcase your expertise and interests.

Sign up for the Voiland College ProPEL Internship Program to earn technical elective credit in your major for work completed at your internship, co-op, or part-time job related to your major.
