Voiland College Job Search Tracker
The Voiland College Career Services team posts jobs daily on a Sharepoint Excel spreadsheet that is divided into tabs by major. Career Services updates this sheet daily, as we learn about new opportunities.
You can find this spreadsheet in the link provided below, or in our lnk.bio, which is shown on our profile/home pages of our social media accounts (@wsuvoilandss). You will need to login with your WSU student email to access the spreadsheet. Please let us know if this is more effective, as we enjoy feedback from our students.
Online Searches
Handshake is the number one place for WSU students to search and apply for internships, co-ops, part-time, and full-time jobs. You can also use Handshake to:
- Network with recruiters by uploading a résumé and completing your online career profile.
- Set your online career profile to “community” to allow your résumé to be viewable by employers (let them find you for a job).
- Learn which employers are attending upcoming career expos and other recruitment events.
- View upcoming on- and off-campus career events.
- Research contact information for local and national employers.
- Search for and apply to open positions (on and off campus).
- Network with other students.
- Schedule on-campus interviews.
Company Websites
The best place to find jobs is on a company website. Check their “Careers” or “Job Openings” page, which can sometimes be found in the footer of their website. Following company Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter feeds will also keep you informed and help you learn about the company and their culture. Need help finding business in the area?

Gain valuable global experience and expand your professional network with an internship abroad! International internships provide an excellent opportunity to develop cross-cultural skills, enhance your resume, and immerse yourself in a new culture.
Parker Dewey Micro-Internships
Explore your career options and gain valuable experience with Parker Dewey Micro-Internships!
Micro-internships are paid short-term projects posted by employers across a wide range of industries. Often, these projects require 20-40 hours of total work across 2-4 weeks and can be completed remotely.
Available year-round, Micro-Internships are offered by companies nationwide, from Fortune 100 firms to startups.
The Forage
Looking for more experience? The Forage is a free, online job simulation that enables you to work on real-world projects for companies. Job simulations replicate work at top companies and connect students to the companies themselves. In only 5-6 hours, learn relevant tools and skills necessary to complete tasks that replicate an employee’s workday. Tasks completed can also become excellent ways to boost your résumé through projects and relevant work experience.

Vault.com provides career resources, including employer rankings, company reviews, industry guides, and internship listings. It aims to help you research companies, find career paths, and access advice on resumes, interviews, and workplace skills. Vault’s resources are useful for students, professionals, and anyone exploring career opportunities.
My Next Move: O*NET Interest Profiler
The website “My Next Move: O*NET Interest Profiler” is a career exploration tool designed to help you identify occupations that align with your interests. By taking a brief assessment, you can discover careers that suit your preferences and personality. The site organizes potential career matches by job category, required education level, and projected job outlook, helping you understand which fields may be a strong fit for you and what qualifications you might need to pursue those paths.
What Can I Do With This Major?
This tool will help you explore career options and strategies related to academic programs. When viewing a major/area of study, you can see typical career areas, types of jobs and employers, and strategies to prepare yourself for those career paths. Continue your research through the websites provided in the Links section.

Submittable
Submittable is the Voiland College’s professional profile portal for WSU engineering, computer science, construction, and design students and alumni. Through Submittable, you can:
- Create a professional profile highlighting your skills, experience, and career goals.
- Connect with potential employers seeking candidates for internships, co-ops, and full-time positions.
Getting Started Sign up and create your profile by answering questions about your background, skills, and career path. Add a professional photo, resume, and project samples to make your profile stand out. Profiles are reviewed by Voiland Career Services and, once approved, are featured in the Applicant Gallery for employers to view.

Email Finders
Want to reach out to alumni or connections but don’t have their business email? Email finder products can be very helpful. One can search connections at any company with the help of domain search features of these websites. Even though millions of email addresses are indexed in these databases, one can apply filters on a domain search to find connections based on their job profiles, first name, last name, etc. Check it out!
