What made you decide to attend WSU? Why did you choose your major?

I chose WSU because of two main reasons. It was the most affordable on my schools list and the Computer Science program it offers has a good rating nationwide. I always had a strong passion for electronic devices and a desire to solve real-world problems through the creation of efficient software programs. I then chose to pursue my studies in Computer Science since it can teach me the skills I need to be able to tackle such problems and make a positive difference in the world.

What do you want to do with your degree after you graduate?

I intend on working in the tech industry as a software engineer in tackling some real-word problems such as the development of robust airplane navigation systems through the use of AI and Physics.

What clubs are you involved in on campus?

I recently joined NSBE and became a member of Crimson Robotics. Despite my short time at NSBE so far, it has allowed me to meet like-minded individuals who are striving for success and making a more positive world. NSBE has allowed me to expand my network. In Crimson Robotics I will be working alongside passionate teammates to design and build a beetle weight robot that we’ll compete with in various robotics competitions.

Why would you recommend attending Washington State University?

WSU is not only a great place to get one’s education but it also can offer you lifelong friendship opportunities that could open many doors for you down the road. This would be why I’d recommend WSU.

The main thing I have benefited from so far here at WSU is a great education, especially throughout my interaction with faculty members and such. Some are so excellent at what they do that they can unknowingly plant in you seeds of thirst for more knowledge. WSU is truly a place that can change your perspective and elevate you.

What advice do you have for fellow or prospective students?

Please, don’t ever be afraid to ask questions. Even if you think you understand, still ask questions to be sure you do understand and try to explain to your peers what you think you know about that specific topic. Also, study everyday even if you don’t have a test coming up, stay on top of your assignments and try to go beyond what is given in class. But most importantly, make sure to get enough sleep, at least seven hours, no matter what.
