Rob Swanson is a Senior Principal Engineer at Amazon Web Services with 20+ years building secure, high performance computing platforms across cloud, server, and edge environments. An inventor with 70+ U.S. patents, he led core firmware and security architecture for EC2 Nitro systems across multiple AWS generations, strengthening platform security and accelerating global deployment. He currently works within Annapurna Labs (AWS), focusing on power oversubscription, security, and high bandwidth memory architecture for next‑generation Trainium accelerator chips.
