The Schweitzer Engineering Hall Program (PDF), which helps guide the types of programs and activities in Schweitzer Engineering Hall, was completed in January 2023.

In February 2023, Three firms were selected to participate in the Request for Proposals (RFP) process to select a company to design and build Schweitzer Engineering Hall. The selection process will be finalized later this spring.

WSU is requesting $40 million in state funding to build the new facility, with a further $40 million of philanthropic funds being contributed to the project. The state of Washington budget will be finalized by this summer.

Donors have quickly stepped up to make a student-centered hub for Voiland College students. Led by Schweitzer Engineering Labs’ and Ed and Beatriz Schweitzer’s lead gifts, $37 million has been committed as of April 2023. Interested in supporting this project? Contact a member of our team.

On April 11, Lease Crutcher Lewis / ZGF was selected as the Design/Build Team.
