Becky Barnhart is the President and a Principal at Integrus Architecture. Her 21 years of architectural experience spans a variety of public works project types but she found her niche working with Facilities and Capital Projects teams in the Higher Education sector. Her successful collaborations with project teams have resulted in successes at over 25 different Pacific Northwest campuses and includes design, master planning, programming, predesigns, basis of design documents, and capital budget reports on projects utilizing all delivery methods. Becky strives to be on the cutting edge of academia leading her team to the design of student-centered solutions.  Each day, she works to learn about and promote the advancement of the knowledge that links neuroscience research to a growing understanding of human responses to the built environment on College and University campuses.  Becky uses this passion to craft individualized solutions for campus communities and leads her project teams to reach innovative solutions that enhance the health and wellness of campus inhabitants and ensuring and equitable and sustainable future.  

In addition to continually striving to improve herself and actively searching for opportunities to build leadership skills, Becky is drawn to mentoring young and emerging architectural talent. She co-founded a group entitled yAIAg (young Architects Interns and Associates group) to foster and encourage the professional growth of young architects through community outreach, dialogue, and professional development. She later acquired a certificate in Foundational Leadership through the Gonzaga University Emerging Leaders program, participated in the Northwest and Pacific Region Leadership Summit, served as past President of AIA Spokane, sat on the AIA Washington Council Board.  Becky is currently the architectural design industry’s representative on the Capital Projects Advisory Review Board, Project Review Committee.
