Dwight Miller graduated from WSU with an Environmental Engineering degree in 1985 and the following Monday began his over 30-year career at Parametrix, an engineering, planning, and science consulting firm headquartered in Seattle. As a Principal Consultant at Parametrix, Dwight leads project teams, including engineers, planners, and scientists, delivering industrial and agency environmental infrastructure projects. His practice includes natural resources assessment and restoration; industrial environmental engineering, permitting and compliance; solid and hazardous waste/resources; and sustainability planning, solutions, and measurement. As a Parametrix practice leader in Climate Change and Sustainability, Dwight engages with Parametrix staff and clients in developing sustainable solutions for internal operations and our client’s public works projects.

Dwight maintains his professional engineering registration in Washington, Idaho, Hawaii, Montana and Nebraska. He currently manages industrial compliance, alternative energy, wastewater, and solid and hazardous waste projects involving facility siting, design, construction, permit compliance, and operation. In addition, Dwight has experience in regulatory analysis and permit compliance and negotiation for waste facility development and closure. He has successfully managed facility siting, permitting, design, and construction projects throughout the Northwest and Hawaii. He actively participates in ACEC (past chair), APWA, and SWANA, both in leadership and technical programming.

His community service has included numerous city, county, and district boards and commissions related to environmental management and K-12 facility planning. He actively engages with higher education as a member of the Washington State University Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture Executive Leadership Board (immediate past chair).
