Dear Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to share that five members of the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture will be honored at this year’s WSU Showcase Awards.
Please join me in congratulating:
- Anjan Bose, recipient of the Distinguished Faculty Award and presenter of this year’s Distinguished Faculty Address. His pioneering work in electric power systems has shaped how grids are operated and regulated around the world and reflects decades of research leadership and service to the profession.
- Robert Olsen, honored with the Emeritus Society Legacy of Excellence Award for a career defined by technical impact, mentorship, and dedication to students and colleagues.
- Yuehe Lin, recipient of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award, whose translational research exemplifies how discovery at Voiland College moves from the lab to real-world application.
- Susmita Bose, honored with the Sahlin Eminent Faculty Award for internationally recognized scholarship and sustained excellence in research and graduate education.
- Jim Petersen, recipient of the V. Lane Rawlins President’s Award for Distinguished Lifetime Service, recognizing a career of extraordinary commitment to the university and the engineering profession.
Each of these colleagues represents the very best of our college: rigorous scholarship, meaningful innovation, impactful teaching, and service that strengthens our community. Their achievements elevate our reputation and underscore the depth of talent across our schools and programs.
I hope you will join me in congratulating our honorees and celebrating their accomplishments during WSU Showcase, March 23–27.
