VSCEB Director Reappointment

Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to share that Su Ha has been reappointed as director of the Voiland School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering, effective August 16, 2026.

Since becoming director in 2022, Su has provided strong leadership for the Voiland School, helping advance its teaching, research, and service missions. 

Many of you know Su as an accomplished researcher, dedicated educator, and collaborative leader. He has authored over 100 publications in the field of energy generation from alternative fuels, with his work cited more than 6,000 times. 

In recognition of his impact, he was named a Highly Cited Researcher by Thomson Reuters in 2014 and received the Anjan Bose Outstanding Researcher Award in 2025 for his significant contributions to the college. 

Su currently serves as the lead principal investigator on a major ARPA-E project focused on developing solutions for off-grid EV charging. He is also a two-time recipient of the Voiland School Outstanding Teaching Award, reflecting his strong commitment to excellence in the classroom.
