WSU students and researchers will compete next week by working on major agriculture issues using large data sets in WSU’s first-ever Digital AgAthon, Oct. 1-5.

Learn about the challenges and possibilities that the digital revolution will bring to global food, fuel and fiber production at Washington State University’s first Digital Agriculture Summit, Oct. 6 and 7.

Washington State University will be hosting an all campus, all major virtual Career Expo from 8:00 a.m. to Noon on October 5, 6 and 7, allowing students and employers multiple days and times to meet. Registration is now open for employers and students on Handshake. Students will be able to sign up for individual appointments, or attend group sessions with visiting employers.

Free Course: Teaching & Learning in the Diverse Classroom – Oct. 1 – 31

Cornell University’s Center for Teaching Innovation is offering a massive open online course for educators, Teaching & Learning in the Diverse Classroom, that guides instructors in exploring frameworks and strategies for building and sustaining inclusive learning environments. U.S.-based and higher-education-centered, the five-week course is for anyone with teaching responsibilities and any level of diversity expertise. Registration for the course is open now.

Workday Training

Washington State University will soon begin using Workday, the new system for finance, payroll, human resources, and post-award grants management. All WSU employees will use Workday in some capacity, from managing their personal information to tracking their time worked/off. Workday training materials are ready and courses are now open for enrollment.

Virtual Staff Mentoring and Professional Development Program – Apply by Sept. 30

Washington State University is preparing to conduct a system wide pilot Virtual Staff Mentoring and Professional Development Program during the 2020–2021 academic year. Apply by September 30.
