Season’s Greetings 2020

Dear Colleagues,

Season’s Greetings! I wish each of you a safe and relaxing holiday break, filled with an abundance of peace and happiness for you and your loved ones.

As 2020 draws to a close, I also would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to everyone who has helped make this semester a successful one for our students, faculty, and staff.

As witnessed in our recent Fall Commencement, the graduation size of our college continues to grow, due to your continued efforts to support our students during these challenging times.

This year has been especially difficulty for many of us. Challenges will continue – both large and small – but it is our ability to appreciate one another’s contributions and our commitment to work together that have helped us continue to deliver the promises of our land-grant mission.

The rollout of WSU’s Modernization Initiative is our latest test, and I want to give thanks to Denise Faerber and all of our administrative teams who have been working hard on helping us transition to Workday. This is a big change for everybody, but especially those who are managing the day-to-day budget processes that we rely upon to ensure that bills – and people – get paid on time. Please show your appreciation for them in the coming weeks as they adapt to this new system.

You may have seen Darlene Neunherz’ recent note about WSU Pullman building information & reduced operations during the holidays. If not, please review them before heading off to break.

Like many of you, I look to 2021 with renewed hope, joy, and inspiration. Stay safe, and I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.

Happy Holidays!
