VCEA Convocation – Nominations Due Feb. 24

We are excited for the 2023 Voiland College Convocation, to be held this year on Friday April 14, from 3-5 pm in the CUB Senior Ballroom.

At VCEA Convocation, Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture will honor staff, students, and faculty who epitomize the highest levels of excellence in the pursuit of the college’s mission and goals. Talk with your director or chair about your department’s nomination process and submit your nomination by February 24.

Future Net-Zero Innovators (FuNZI) of the Mountain West Student Symposium

Boise State University, Idaho State University and University of Idaho are hosting an in-person student symposium for undergraduate and graduate students from across the Mountain West who have an interest in carbon neutrality. The student symposium will take place March 29th-31st in Idaho Falls, Idaho at the Center for Advanced Energy Studies.

Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to prepare a poster and/or presentation. Prizes will be awarded for Best Poster, Best Presentation, Best Speaker and other categories! Application deadline is Feb. 17.

VCEA Workday Grant Reports and Office Hours

SURCA 2023 Applications Open to Undergraduates Through Feb. 21

Washington State University undergraduates can submit abstracts through Feb. 21 to present their research, scholarships, and creative activities on March 27 at the 2023 Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (SURCA).

IDEA Grants – Apply by March 13

Washington State University faculty seeking to innovate and to promote issues of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA) in undergraduate teaching and learning can apply between Jan. 15 and March 13, for two grants from the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President. The awards are the Smith Teaching and Learning Grant and the Transformational Change Initiative (TCI) Grant for Advancing IDEA.

Oaks Academic Technology Award – Nominations Due March 28

Nominations are now being accepted for the Oaks Academic Technology Award. The self-nominated award recognizes instructors for their innovative application of technology to transform teaching and learning in their classroom (face-to-face, asynchronous online, or videoconferencing).

The winner will receive $3,000 in faculty development funds, distributed to the award winner’s academic department. To apply or learn more about the award, including the evaluation rubric, visit the Oaks award application webpage.

WSU Alumni Association Award – Nominations Due April 7

Deadline extended! The WSUAA is now accepting award nominations to recognize WSU alumni, faculty/staff, students, volunteers, and friends whose hard work and dedication make Washington State University and our Alumni Association the best organizations in the world!

GPSA Dissertation Grant – Apply Today

The Awards and Scholarships Committee offers dissertation grants to support the research needs of WSU Ph.D. students. These grants will be awarded on a rolling basis to help cover expenses generated as students work to complete their dissertation projects.
