Jacob Leachman and Konstantin Matveev are leading a $3 million U.S. Department of Energy HYPER-Flow grant which aims to create the world’s first continuous liquid hydrogen flow loop with the ability to visualize and characterize the multiphase hydrogen flow inside pipes.

The Daily Evergreen featured a story on the Palouse Aerospace Club.

RA and $10K Seed Grant Applications due Sept. 10

Up to two awardees will receive $10,000 and funding for a graduate student research assistantship for one-semester starting Spring 2024.

Community Engaged Research Tier One Seed Grants – Apply by Sept. 15

Community Engaged Research Tier One Seed Grants are travel awards of up to $3,000 and are intended to support WSU Pullman faculty in establishing primary connections and fostering relationships with community partners.

Sept 17: WSU Grant Basics and Finding Funding with Pivot

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, noon – 1 p.m., plan to bring your lunch and your laptop to the Lighty 280 conference room on the Pullman campus and work alongside proposal development specialist, Lydia Baxter-Howard, MS, from the Office of Research Advancement and Partnerships as she provides an overview of WSU’s grant proposal submission process, including the eREX form. Then, use the Pivot database to find funding opportunities specific to your area of research, set up notifications, track funding opportunities, find collaborators, and share opportunities with your coworkers.

Sept. 24: ‘WSU Grant Proposal Basics’

The Office of Research Advancement and Partnerships will guide you through WSU’s grant proposal submission process and introduce you to the ever-important eREX form.

UCore Workshops – Save the Dates!

This year, UCORE will offer a series of workshops around assignment design, writing, and assessment related to UCORE Learning Outcomes across designations.  Partnered with the WSU Writing Program, we will host 3 workshops, offering each one two times to allow participants to attend when is most convenient for them.

Learn to Support Cougs in Crisis

We can all help support mental health in our campus community. Learn how to identify Cougs in crisis and connect them with support by signing up for a training with WSU Health Promotion. Sessions are available for all WSU locations.

Campus Connect: This 2-hour suicide prevention training program is offered free of charge for all WSU staff and students. Participants learn: Statistics and facts about college student suicide; How to ask if someone is feeling suicidal; Appropriate referrals; Active listening, communication, and relationship building skills.Mental Health First Aid: Participants in this training learn about symptoms, crisis response, and active listening skills to support someone who is experiencing a mental health disorder such as: Depression and anxiety; Trauma; Psychosis; Eating disorders; Substance abuse.
