Dear Colleagues,
I’m excited to invite you to an upcoming Employee Development, Wellness, and Culture Strategic Planning Zoom meeting on Wednesday, December 18 at 3pm.
Our goal is to recruit and retain a talented, diverse workforce that advances our land-grant mission of serving the public good. To achieve this, the Employee Development, Wellness, and Culture Strategic Planning Task Force is focusing on enhancing employee development, wellness, and fostering a strong sense of belonging within Voiland College.
We’ve already begun some great initiatives, such as:
- Convocation, sponsored lectures, and VCEA town halls to foster open communication and community engagement.
- VCEA Day, VCEA Inside Scoop, and the VCEA Weekly Newsletter to build connections and share updates.
- New faculty support on proposal writing to guide early-career faculty in their professional growth.
Looking ahead, the task force is exploring further strategies to enhance our culture, focusing on ways to foster belonging and ensure every employee feels valued and recognized.
I encourage you to join this meeting – and this group – to provide your valuable input and help shape these initiatives. Your voice is key to creating an environment where everyone in our college thrives.
