Qizhen (Katherine) Li was elected for the VCEA’s Faculty Senate Tenure Track Seat (Seat C), Her term starts August 16 and runs through August 15, 2029. 

The Inlander featured a story on Birgitte Ahring’s research that makes renewable methane from wastewater solids. 

Aayush Shrestha received a 2026 National Council of Structural Engineers’ CSEA Diversity in Structural Engineering Scholarship.  

The VCEA Dean’s Office completed its move into Schweitzer Engineering Hall (SEH). SEH is open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7 pm. 

Praveen Sekhar was selected for the 2026 Sensor Division Outstanding Achievement Award from the Electrochemical Society.

Schweitzer Engineering Hall Grand Opening: The Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture will celebrate a major milestone this fall with the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Schweitzer Engineering Hall, its new engineering and design student success building on the WSU Pullman campus.
