Dear Colleagues:
Happy New Year! For many of us, the new calendar year is a time to renew focus on our hopes and aspirations, and setting goals to achieve them.
Voiland College is no different. Today we are launching a VCEA Strategic Planning Survey to obtain some of your perspectives on where our college should be going over the course of the next five years, and ideas on how we can get there.
The survey is the first step in a year-long initiative to update our college’s 2015-2020 Strategic Plan.
Our 5-year plan will identify the ways in which Voiland College can better serve the public good and meet the future needs of the state of Washington and beyond. Strategic planning for our college is important because it provides us with a sense of direction and outlines measurable goals for each of us achieve. It will also help guide our day-to-day decisions and evaluate our progress as we move forward.
You are critical to this effort.
We are designing a process that will provide you with multiple opportunities to share your thoughts, ideas, and opinions on our college’s mission, values, vision, as well as helping us identify opportunities and potential challenges that we may face in the future. I encourage you to remain engaged in the process during the coming months with the designing, drafting, and then finalizing of our plan.
For starters, please take a moment to take our VCEA Strategic Planning Survey by Friday, January 31 and look for future opportunities to participate in the development of our strategic plan in the near future.
