It is with much sadness that I share the news that our friend and colleague Rob Rioux passed away this week.
Rob has been a member of the Voiland College family since 2016 in his role as a clinical associate professor of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, where he taught electrical engineering on the WSU Everett campus.
Known for his humor, his love of music, and his dedication to his students, Rob’s passing is a great loss for all of us. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones.
During this time of grief, I want to ensure you are aware of resources that are available at this time. Please refer to the information on the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services website which outlines some of the help that WSU can provide. If you need time away from work, please coordinate with your supervisor.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to WSU’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), available 24/7, at 1-877-313-4455. WSU’s Human Resource Services website has additional EAP information.
We will share information of Rob’s memorial services when it becomes available.
