Faculty and staff must complete seven workshops across four areas to earn the certificate.

Graduate Student Opportunities

Volunteer for Kids’ Science and Engineering Day

Kids’ Science and Engineering Day (KSED) will be going directly to the classrooms this year! KSED is going to be hosted online from April 5th to April 9th during normal school hours (8am-4pm). The Society of Women Engineers will be offering an interactive experience for elementary students to learn about science and engineering concepts through fun activities led by volunteers via Zoom. This format will accommodate students participating in online learning and the current COVID-19 restrictions.

Volunteers will be able to register for 1-hour time slots to work with one classroom K-5. SWE will provide the activities and information about STEM to share with each age group. Volunteers can sign up for multiple sections if interested and work with a variety of grades or work with multiple classrooms of the same grade.

Additional Opportunities

More opportunities for VCEA graduate students.
