New Associate Dean for Systemic Equity and Engagement

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Kacey Beddoes to the position of Assistant Dean for Systemic Equity and Engagement.

This position within the Dean’s Office is dedicated to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for our college’s students, faculty, and staff.

In higher education, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is essential in creating a truly enriching and transformative experience for everyone in our college community. In this new role, Kacey will lead the development and implementation of Voiland College’s strategies, programs, and initiatives to create a more inclusive and equitable environment within the college and collaborate closely with university leaders to ensure our commitment to DEI is embedded in all aspects of our operations.

Kacey brings a wealth of expertise and experience to her role. Notably, she served as the Project Director at San Jose State University College of Engineering, where she led successful initiatives to foster an inclusive and equitable environment. In addition to her recent role, Kacey has held positions such as Learning and Instruction Specialist at the American Society for Engineering Education, Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and Research Associate at Oregon State University. Her diverse background provides her with a deep understanding of the DEI challenges and opportunities that may exist within our college.

Kacey’s appointment signifies our continued dedication to fostering a supportive Voiland College community. Her expertise will enable us to further enhance our students’ success, support employee development and advocate for underrepresented individuals, and I am excited to see the collaborations that will develop with Kacey as a member of our team.

Please join me in welcoming Kacey to Voiland College!
