Ali Mehrizi-Sani, Shira Brochat, Praveen Sekhar, and Jacob Murray are among the 2018-2019 LIFT Faculty Fellows. Applications for the next LIFT Cohort are due February 8.

The research projects of Yuehe Lin, Subhanshu Gupta, Somayeh Nassiri, Xiao Zhang, David Drake, and Deuk Heo were among those chosen by The Office of Commercialization to receive awards of up to $50,000 through the Commercialization Gap Fund for 2019.

Voiland College’s Tutoring Services opens at 9 am on Tuesday, January 14 in Dana Hall 152.

Led by Yuehe Lin, a research team has developed biologically inspired materials at the nanoscale that were able to effectively deliver model therapeutic genes into tumor cells.

Kelvin Lynn received a $200,000 award from the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office to advance solar research and development.

Kathryn Jackson has been accepted to speak at the National Academic Advising Association’s regional conference in Calgary, Canada, where she will present, “Creating Opportunity: Developing a Study Abroad Program Where None Existed.”

Led by Partha Pande and Jana Doppa, a Washington State University research team has uncovered significant and previously unknown vulnerabilities in high-performance computer chips that could lead to failures in modern electronics.

Mathew Hunt won the 2019 National Student Intern of the Year Award from the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Cooperative Education and Experiential Division.

Dec. 11, 2018 Voiland College This Week

Led by Arda Gozen and Yuehe Lin, WSU researchers have created a 3D-printed glucose biosensor for use in wearable monitors.

Kelvin Lynn and researchers from the University of Utah have received a $1.88 million grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research to study the fundamental properties of a semiconductor material known as gallium oxide, which could be used in high-voltage power systems for anything from cars to airplanes and ships.

The Office of the Provost Food Drive to benefit the Pullman and Moscow communities runs until 12 pm Noon on December 14. Provost Bernardo and Mrs. Bernardo will match each donation pound for pound! Please deliver canned and non-perishable food items to the donation box that will be near the elevator on the 5th Floor of Carpenter Hall.
