Harold Frank Engineering Entrepreneurship Institute Changes

It is with regret to announce that I have accepted the resignation of Howard Davis in his role as director of the Harold Frank Engineering Entrepreneurship Institute.

Howard has been a valuable and well respected leader in our efforts to guide and prepare our students for bright careers in the exciting and challenging world of entrepreneurship since 2013.

Mehrzad Mehrabi pour received the Helene M. Overly Memorial Scholarship from WTS Puget Sound Chapter.

Yong Wang was interviewed by the Daily Evergreen. Wang helped to develop a catalyst used in vehicle exhaust emissions that can withstand high temperatures and reduce pollutants at low temperatures.

I want to thank everyone who participated in the recent WSU and VCEA Town Hall meetings. It was nice to catch up with everyone and give an update on what has been happening around the university and college this year.

Anurag Srivastava was awarded $500,000 through the University of Utah on their project focused on resiliency for Pacific Corp as part of the DOE $36M Advanced Solar Energy Integration program.

A wind energy team consisting of WSU Everett and Everett Community College students has earned a spot in the Collegiate Wind Competition.

WSU Tri-Cities researchers Josef Christ, Nahal Aliheidari and Amir Ameli have developed a way to 3D print flexible sensors using nanomaterials and a special type of plastic.
