Anti-icing technology developed at Washington State University is being licensed by Fusione Corp., a Massachusetts-based snow and ice operations company, with the goal of creating environmentally responsible and sustainable snow and ice road treatments.

Julia Day and her building research are featured this week by the WSU Foundation.

Noel Schulz, co-director of the Advanced Grid Institute, was featured in The Daily Evergreen.

In 2021 the PNNL/WSU Advanced Grid Institute (AGI) developed an updated strategic plan that lays out a vision for the Institute looking towards 2030.

Intro to Kamiak High-Performance Computing – October 5 @10:10 AM

CIRC will host a hands-on introductory workshop introducing basic HPC concepts and teaching users to submit jobs to an HPC. Learn to utilize freely available computing resources on WSU’s Kamiak HPC to power your research!

Registration: This course is free to attend and will be conducted over Zoom, but space is limited, so attendees must register in advance.

Sign-ups close on 10/1, register in advance for connection details.

Industry Engagement Grant Competition – Apply by September 30

Two teams or individuals will be awarded with a $3,000 grant and receive administrative support from IREO to initiate contact and develop strategic, industrial partnerships with desired companies.

President’s Award for Safety, Health, and Security Awards – Nominations Due Oct. 1

Vaccine Mandated, Masks Required this Fall

Washington Governor Jay Inslee will require all school employees in the state, including those working at colleges and universities, to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Oct. 18. In addition, he reintroduced a state-wide mask mandate, regardless of an individual’s vaccination status, in response to the surging Delta variant of the SARS‑CoV‑2 virus.
