Go Cougs!

Co-led by Voiland College’s Jin Liu and Prashanta Dutta, as well as Anthony Nicola at the College of Veterinary Medicine, WSU researchers received a four-year $1.2 million grant funded by the National Institutes of Health to study virus-cell interactions at the moment a virus merges with a cell to initiate an infection – a process known as virus fusion.

Using machine learning and computational modeling, WSU researchers led by Soumik Banerjee have found about half a dozen good candidates for solvents that can extract materials on the moon and Mars usable in 3D printing.
