Ali Mehrizi-Sani, Shira Brochat, Praveen Sekhar, and Jacob Murray are among the 2018-2019 LIFT Faculty Fellows. Applications for the next LIFT Cohort are due February 8.

The research projects of Yuehe Lin, Subhanshu Gupta, Somayeh Nassiri, Xiao Zhang, David Drake, and Deuk Heo were among those chosen by The Office of Commercialization to receive awards of up to $50,000 through the Commercialization Gap Fund for 2019.

New Safety Training for All Voiland College Employees

As you know, safe conditions and procedures in our laboratories and classrooms are paramount for our students, faculty, and staff in the Voiland College.

I am pleased that we have been taking a number of positive steps in recent months to build a strong culture of safety around the college and to encourage proper safety procedures, especially in our laboratories.

For the fourth year running, WSU’s Engineering and Technology Management Graduate Program is ranked among the Top 30 online engineering graduate programs by US News and World Report.

Washington State University Alumnus and major supporter Edmund O. Schweitzer III has become a member of the National Inventors Hall of Fame’s 2019 Class of Inductees.

Jan. 15, 2019 Voiland College This Week

Voiland College’s Tutoring Services opens at 9 am on Tuesday, January 14 in Dana Hall 152.

Led by Yuehe Lin, a research team has developed biologically inspired materials at the nanoscale that were able to effectively deliver model therapeutic genes into tumor cells.

Jan. 8, 2019 Voiland College This Week

Kelvin Lynn received a $200,000 award from the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office to advance solar research and development.

Kathryn Jackson has been accepted to speak at the National Academic Advising Association’s regional conference in Calgary, Canada, where she will present, “Creating Opportunity: Developing a Study Abroad Program Where None Existed.”

Welcome Back – Spring 2019

Welcome back, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful break and had the opportunity to unwind and spend time with friends and family.

I can’t believe 2019 is here already. Fall semester sure went by in a blur! It began with record enrollment in our college- more than 5,000 undergraduate and 1400 post-graduate students enrolled in our five campuses for the first time in our history.
