Congratulations on completing another successful semester!

Spring is a time of change here at Voiland College. More than 1,000 of our students have graduated and gone off to make their way in the world, and several of our colleagues are moving on to new adventures. We’ll miss them all but wish them well in the next phases of their lives – whether it’s an exciting new job or a happy retirement.Spring is a time of change here at Voiland College. Behrang Asgharian-Dastenaie, Ayumi Manawadu Maksim Karazhbei, Reem Osma, Nikolaus Walton, and Ian Wells received President’s Awards for Leadership.

The design for the WSU students’ inclusive Splatt Table has recently taken the top student prize for an office table design in the international SIT furniture design competition.

Washington State University announced a landmark $20 million gift from Edmund and Beatriz Schweitzer, and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL). The Schweitzers and SEL are each contributing $10 million toward the construction of the Voiland College’s new student success building on WSU’s Pullman campus.

Emma Tumbleson, Celeste Weaver, Madeline Frey, Zaya Tsengelmaa, and India Dykes placed second place in the Open Business Category of the NW Entrepreneurship Competition.

Feng Zhao and graduate student Brandon Sueoka have demonstrated how honey can be used to make a memristor, a component similar to a transistor that can not only process but also store data in memory.

A new laboratory method developed by Lloyd Smith uses a high-accuracy ball delivery device and speed measurement system to provide better clues on exactly how high and far baseballs will fly.
